Taxpayers in Los Angeles County will be granted a postponement to Oct. 15, 2025, to file California tax returns on 2024 income and make any tax payments that would have been due Jan. 7, 2025–Oct. 15, 2025. This aligns with the federal extension recently granted to California’s wildfire victims, which allows taxpayers until Oct. 15, 2025, to file various federal individual and business tax returns and make tax payments. The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration also extended the sales and use tax filing deadline for Los Angeles County from Jan. 31, 2025, to April 30, 2025.
